Enchanted Province
This summer from June to October, get involved in these 14 cultural and historical events held by 17 different townships to discover, through guided theatrical visits, the "enchanted" towns of the Torinese territory.
The "Enchanted Province" project was created by various townships in northern Piemonte to help tourists and visitors get to know the villages of the Torinese territory. It's a land rich in history, culture, and hidden architectural jewels, places where handcrafted skills and deep agricultural knowledge have remained alive and practically untouched from many years ago. These are the "enchanted" villages sparkling with architectural beauty and surrounded by incredible landscapes that are the paths lesser traveled by tourists.
For the third year in a row, this successful project will be showcasing the territory to visitors through guided theatrical visits, in which the theater becomes an instrument for valorizing the places, monuments, towns, and their local products (by the association “Teatro e Società”). All events tied to this project are carried out with the collaboration of the Province of Turin, Tourism board ATL "Tourism in Turin and its Province," and the individual townships taking part in the initiative.
Notwithstanding the unfortunate economical restraints Italy and Europe are going through in the past months, thanks to the help of the involved parties and the support of the individual townships (17 total), "Enchanted Province" will be able to be extended until October. The participating towns and dates of the events are:
Caluso and Mazzè - June 29
Avigliana - July 13
Mezzenile - July 27
Viù - August 7, in the evening
Alpette and Locana - August 17, to be confirmed
Reano - September 14
Torre Canavese September 21, to be confirmed
Pomaretto - September 28
Moncalieri - October 5
The townships of Oulx and Exilles, Piverone, Balme, Santena and Susa will announce their dates of participation in guiding visits throughout their territories and historical centers by the end of April.
