Verdi's Barolo

Winery Terre del Barolo dedicates its Barolo 2009 to the Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi, on sale beginning May 26 in occasion of the Alba Music Festival.

Music and wine, love at first note.The Terre del Barolo Winery features Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi on its Barolo 2009 label, celebrating the bicentennial of one of Italy's greatest masters of opera.

The idea was proposed by president Matteo Bosco and musician Giuseppe Nova who gave life to project "Barolo of Verdi." This project includes a bottle of Barolo 2009 with its label of Giuseppe Verdi, paired with a CD of the most famous operas penned by the composer, who originates from Roncole di Busseto of Parma. The homage to this great man will be presented during the Alba Music Festival on Sunday, May 26 in the ex-church of St. Domenico, after a concert dedicated to Verdi at 9:00 pm, entry free of charge. Guests will be offered a tasting of the "Verdian" Barolo.
