In the Langhe, with the summer finally arriving, don't miss the splendid terraces in the heart of Barolo country. Read on to find out what to expect at Sweet Home Barolo, an art and gastronomy festival organized by Borgogno Winery of Barolo lasting until July 18.
The historical winery Borgogno, Caffè Boglione in Bra, Eataly, and the Faceboard Foundation meet to offer you five Thursdays of wine and food events with accompanying music, photography, and art. It all goes down in the splendid, scenic terraces of Barolo, with a fantastic view of the vineyards that make this land famous all over the world stretching into the horizon.
The evenings begin with aperitivo, that "happy hour" in Italy that is so much more than peanuts and chips, including wines and cocktails followed by a thoughtful menu alla carta with traditional Piedmontese foods as well as fresh seafood dishes; the evenings conclude with a concert at 11:00 pm. Anyone may come for a simple glass of wine, a simple dish, a complete dinner, or simply just to enjoy the live music of several talented bands. See how it's much better than happy hour? Free entry.
