Would you like to step into a fun event? At Fontanafredda, the historical, nineteenth-century village known for its excellent wine production, the Grape Harvest Festival returns in all its ancient glory. It's an event full of celebration, dancing, and music to accompany the main reason behind the activity: the grape harvest, when visitors get the chance to stomp in the gigantic barrels of freshly-picked grapes.

Just a few days before the beginning of the grape harvest, everything is ready at Fontanafredda to celebrate the event. On Saturday, September 14, the entire village will be decked for the festivities that last from midday to midnight, with food and shows for all visitors and wine lovers. The highest-anticipated event of the day will be stomping the grapes with bare feet, in a revocation of how wine was once made.

As you wait to get your feet into the mix, don't worry: Fontanafredda won't leave you to fend for yourself. Street food from Eataly and wines from Vini Liberi will occupy the waiting time with many different tastings. Even your ears will pass the time well: at 4 pm the live concerts begin, including jazz, a dj set, folk songs, and rock. Finally, at 7 pm at aperitivo of Alta Langa will be held with sparkling wine.

But there's still more, from theater, artisan workers, and video projections, and, throughout the day, visitors get the chance to visit the historical nineteenth-century cellars of Fontanafredda.
