On September 28 and 29, the Regional Enoteca of Mango is organizing its first blog tour in the reign of #ReDolce, the Sweet King. It will be an occasion to discover and share the beauty of this Moscato wine zone.

The Regional Enoteca of Mango "the Hills of Moscato" has been very social lately. Thanks to its close collaboration with food bloggers Cucina Precaria, Ricetta di Cultura, and Due Cuori e una Forchetta, on September 28 and 29 they will inaugurate their first blog tour. It will be called "Discovering #ReDolce" ("Alla scoperta dei luoghi del Re Dolce") the "sweet king" Moscato d'Asti DOCG wine.

What's a blog tour?

A blog tour is an organized get-together for participants to share their experiences in real time via social networks. They'll take photos and write comments on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, tagging everything with the hashtag #Redolce.

At the beginning of autumn and the end of the grape harvest, the Enoteca's blog tour will focus on getting to know Moscato d'Asti DOCG and its territory better. But overall, the tour serves to build a community of invited journalists, food bloggers, and travel bloggers and, through them, show that the hills of Mango are not just for wine production, but are active centers of networking between producers and the world of gourmet food.

The blog tour will show participants all sorts of little realities, both old and brand-new. They will hear stories from the land's people about their passion for sharing the territory through their products. And the hills that create the background for this tour were the very same hills that shaped the famous, native writers Cesare Pavese and Beppe Fenoglio.

Follow the participating bloggers and journalists on this voyage as they lead you through the hills of Moscato d'Asti DOCG to Langhe hazelnuts and famous writers via Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram: just search for the hashtag #ReDolce.

Regional Enoteca of the Hills of Moscato

Located in the 17th century Castle of the Marquis of Busca, the regional Enoteca of Mango is on one of the most beautiful hills in the Langhe. Its walls hold the hard and passionate work of over 80 wine makers and 20 food producers from 52 townships that are part of the Moscato d'Asti DOCG zone. Read more about the Enoteca di Mango

Bloggers and the Enoteca

With the collaboration between bloggers and the Enoteca, this past spring the culinary contest "Moscato d'Asti, il Re Dolce" was held. The contest was open to culinary bloggers, and was based on a sweet or salty recipe made with Moscato d'Asti DOCG. The winners were Manuel Conti of conlemaninpasta.com, Francesca Mastrovito of thesweetsideofthemoon.com, Cristina Saglietti of contemporaneofood.com, and Margherita Giampiccolo of a-casamia.blogspot.it.

A second event was focused on a territory rich with cultural points and characters, a walk based on locales tied to the writer Beppe Fenoglio on July 21, 2013: "Ma il mio amore è...Fenoglio" ("But my love is...Fenoglio"). Its goal was to give voice to the beauty of these hills through the words of some of the author's work. Fenoglio lived in this area, fought in the very same land as a Partisan, and cited many real-life places in his writings.
