The Contestgram community has crowned Sophie (XOR13) as the queen of Wine Moments! Sophie won the first Wine Pass photo contest for the best photos taken in company with a glass (or a bottle) of wine. We extend our congratulations to the winner, who will also receive a bottle of Barolo Riserva 2006.
We have a winner! Wine Moments, the photo contest dedicated to your best wine moment, has crowned its queen. Her name is Sophie, and she's from Marseille, France, the very city that is captured in her Wine Moment photo below that won her first prize with 1093 likes. Congratulations!
The final votes were close. The five photos that the Jury chose all won a very similar number of likes: In second place is Wine Expert with 994 votes; third is Mosè Giordani with 916 votes; fourth is Tara O'Sullivan with 873 votes; and fifth is Tomás Westenenk with 787 votes.
The voting of the 5 finalists for the Wine Moments contest (which was held from October 8 to 14, 2013 and received over 800 photos) collected likes from 4700 wine lovers. It's a good start for the first #WinePass contest and encouragement for future contests by us for the world of wine...so stay tuned!
And don't forget that all 5 finalists will receive a Crumpled Map© of Barolo and Barbaresco wine zones. But the prizes don't end here. The editorial staff at Wine Pass chose 20 other honorable mentions that, together with the finalists and grand winner, will be printed with Tonki and shown at an exposition at the Wine Museum of Barolo (WiMu)!
The Wine Moments show will be open to visitors in Barolo beginning in the second half of October. Any visitors to the WiMu will be able to see the exposition.
But wait; we're not done yet! Continue taking photos of your own wine moments, tag them #WinePass, and they will be shown streaming on our homepage.
Wine Pass wishes you all many marvelous Wine Moments.
We're all Wine Lovers!

AZIENDA VINICOLA PALLADINO
Palladino Winery is a historic company in Serralunga d'Alba, located in the heart of the Barolo wine zone. Casa Palladino is located in the historical town center itself, where wine and life form an easy balance. Its history runs deep and goes back centuries: On the outer wall of the building is a plaque inscribed with the date 1870 and a story of a legacy of 80 thousand lire (the equivalent of about $55), money that was used for the production of wine. In 1974, the cellars were bought by the Palladino cousins who, after reconstruction in 1978, began producing wine to be bottled. Their philosophy is based on respect for the vineyards, which are worked manually according to tradition. They pay great attention to detail in order to bring a healthy, high quality product to the cellars, where the grapes are then treated used minimal invasive technology. Over the years, this philosophy has allowed Palladino Winery to successfully sell its wines, for the most part on the international market. www.palladinovini.com
