Vinum
This is Vinum, Alba's annual wine festival, at a glance. Use our map to find the program's events and wine tasting areas.
Vinum is the crowning event of Alba's springtime wine season. In 2014, the festival will be held from April 25-27 to May 1-4. Navigate with grace from one glass of wine to the next using our map and this page, which will be updated as the event draws near.
Entrance is free, but you may want to buy the ticket pack for €15 that includes:
- Wine glass and holder
- 10 wine tastings: 7 great reds of the Langhe and Roero, 2 whites of Piemonte, and 1 wine from Asti
- Discount of €2 on the aperitivi, which includes Alta Langa DOCG metodo classico
- Discount of €1 on entrance ticket to the exhibition "Wines of Ancient Egypt: The Past in a Glass"
- Discount of €1.50 for the film projection of "E fu sera e fu mattina" ("It was evening and it was morning") - Cine4 Citiplex Alba.
Or, you may want to consider buying the €7 wine tasting ticket for 5 (unspecified) wine tastings.
For members of: AIS, Go Wine, ONAV, Slow Food, ONAF, Barolo and Barbaresco Consortia, Alta Langa metodo classico, and Asti: show your membership card at the front desk for a €3 discount. Tickets and ticket packets available at the Palazzo Mostre, Congressi (in Piazza Medford), and Piazza Savona.
